Starting cycling from Hue city and along the coastline, then up to the central highland is a great way to experience the remote and undiscovered Central Highlands contain some of Vietnam’s best-kept secrets. You will get off the beaten path and discover pristine lakes, clear rivers, vast swathes of historic jungle, and isolated ethnic minority villages. This 12-day cycling adventure takes you from Hue Imperial City riding along the coast and to the highland, then ending in Ho Chi Minh City. This unique journey is a fantastic way to see the country in an ideal climate for biking. The itinerary can be done in reverse as well, for those starting in Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 1: Arrival Hue

Upon your arrival at the Hue airport, pick up and transfer to Hue City. the rest of the day is free on your own to explore the city. Overnight in Hue.

Day 2: Hue City Tour by bikes (B ,L)

Today is a full day of Hue’s discovery by bikes. Morning, cycling along the Perfume River to visit one of the local and central markets.,Stopping at one of the local houses to enjoy local coffee and chat with the locals.,,Crossing the countless rice paddy fields, you pedal back to Hue to visit the Imperial Citadel, the King Tu Duc’s tomb. Visit the Incense stick & conical hat making village nearby the tomb. Visit to Thien Mu Pagoda located on the hill.Take a Dragon boat back to the city center. Overnight in Hue.\

Day 3: Hue Cycling To Hoi An (B, L)

Morning ride to Thanh Toan covered bridge on an interesting village road winding through green paddy fields. Keep cycling and passing the scenic Tam Giang lagoon, stop en route at a village specializing in mushroom growing. This part of our today’s ride is known to offer the most spectacular rural landscape of the central coast of Vietnam.Lunch break and swimming time at a beautiful beach of Lang Co. Afternoon, Conquer yourself by riding up to Hai Van Pass which is its sea level of 490 meters. Down to Danang and then transfer to Hoian Town for the night. Overnight in Hoian.

Day 4: Hoian Cycling to My Son (B, L)

After breakfast, hop on your support vehicle for a short drive out of the town and cycle west along the quiet road to My Son world heritage site. My Son Sanctuary is a large complex of religious monuments comprised of more than 70 architectural works built by the nobility of the Champa kingdom deriving their cultural and spiritual influences from Indian Hinduism. Only 25 vestiges remain today as a standing witness to the reign of the Champa Dynasty,Afternoon, cycle to visit the lantern town including the Japanese Covered Bridge, Chinese Old house, Historical museum; and keep riding to the beach for swimming. Return to your hotel by support vehicle or by your bike. Overnight in Hoi An.

Cycling distance: 45km on back roads.

Day 5: Hoi An – My Lai - Quang Ngai (B, L)

Our ride to Quang Ngai City today will take you through quiet country lanes towards the coast through fishing villages, the site of the My Lai massacre. The memorial museum and gardens remember the 550 villagers mainly women and children who were massacred by the Americans in the late 1960’s. You will then continue on quiet roads to the beach for a chance to swim and relax, with a picnic lunch at the beach. Cycling to the hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free to explore the town. Overnight in Quang Ngai.

Cycling distance: 65 km on back roads

Day 6: Quang Ngai – Quy Nhon (B, L)

After transferring out the town, the route today will take you along the coast from Binh Duong to Tuy Phuoc. The roads are small provincial roads passing through many villages. The cycling is on the mixed quality surface, and some sections the bus may not be able to follow. Stop for a break at Sa Huynh beach and transfer to Quy Nhon. Alternatively, when you arrive at Tuy Phuoc, cycle or transfer the last busy section of about 10km to Quy Nhon. Overnight in Quy Nhon.

Cycling distance: 80km on back roads

Day 07: Qui Nhon – Gia Lai ( B , L )

Today, the bike ride is really hard.  We start to ride from the seaside at Qui Nhon province to the central high province at Gia Lai (Pleiku), which is about 1000 meters above sea level. Enjoy an hour ride through rolling hills on back roads to Tay Son village, the homeland of the Nguyen Hue king. Stop to visit his memorial and continue riding uphill to An Khe Pass. Lunch at An Khe town, transfer to Pleiku town in the afternoon.

Day 08: Gia Lai, Pleiku – Ban Me Thuoc, Daklak ( B , L )

Buon Me Thuot in the central highlands is a famous coffee region and the home to ethnic minorities. In the morning we will cycle gentle rolling hills along the Ho Chi Minh highway to Bon Ho, having lunch en route. In the afternoon, we will continue pedaling on smooth roads with spectacular views on both sides of the road and pass many minority villages. Overnight in a minority’s house.

Day 09: Ban Me Thuoc – Dalat ( B , L)

The biking of today is hard but the scenery so beautiful all the long way. Have a transfer to a beautiful waterfall, then riding on back road to Lak Lake. Then cycling to Krong No and ride rollong hills to Dalat city in the late afternoon.

Day 10: Dalat city tour ( B )

Spend a whole day visiting the city of honey-moon. Visit the Bao Dai King -Summer Palace, Thien Vien Truc Lam pagoda and colourful market in the morning and biking through greenhouse, vegetable plantation .Afternoon free time .

 

Cycling distance:25KM

Day 11: Dalat – Nam Cat Tien ( B , L )

Leave  city of flower at 8:00 in the morning, enjoy 2 hours driving to countryside of Bao Loc, the city of coffee and tea. Cycle on very quiet back road  to Madagui. In the late afternoon, cycle 20 km on trail ttrough mountainous area to Nam Cat Tien. Enjoy 4 wheels drive trip into the forest to see wild animals. Overnight in the park.

Cycling distance: 60KM

Day 12: Nam Cat Tien – Ho Chi Minh City ( B , L)

Start to ride on country road to Ta Lai Village, enjoy delicous lunch in local restaurant by Dong Nai river. After lunch, continue cycling on trail to La Nga bridge. Then have a transfer Ho Chi Minh City . End The Tour .
